Most healthy adults wanting softer, more defined, or more hydrated lips are good candidates. Lip filler is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding. If you are prone to cold sores, let us know, as treatment can trigger a flare and we may suggest preventive medication first. Suitability is confirmed at your consultation before anything is treated.
What to expect after
Lips swell more than most areas, so expect them to look fuller than the final result for the first 24 to 48 hours, sometimes with a little bruising. Avoid strenuous exercise, alcohol, and heat for 24 hours, skip lipstick and straws for the first several hours, and use a cool compress if needed. Your lips settle to their true shape by about two weeks, when we review them.

Lip filler is priced per syringe, and most people start with a single syringe built gradually over one or two visits for a natural result. Rather than posting a number that may not fit your goals, we confirm your exact quote at the consultation, so you only pay for what your lips actually need.
Most patients describe it as very tolerable, more pressure than pain. We use a topical numbing cream before we start, and the hyaluronic acid products themselves contain a local anaesthetic, so comfort improves as the treatment goes on. If you are anxious about it, tell us and we will take it slowly.
Yes. We use hyaluronic acid, which can be dissolved with an enzyme called hyaluronidase if you want to adjust or reverse the result, so nothing is permanent. That reversibility is a big part of why building gradually and conservatively is so safe.
