Smile Line Botox pricing at VRA is per unit. The lines around the mouth and nose usually need only a small number of units because the muscles are delicate and dosed conservatively. Botox softens the dynamic smile lines that appear when you smile or laugh by relaxing the small muscles that crease the skin around the mouth and nose. It does not fill deeper, static folds. Those deeper nasolabial folds usually come from volume loss and are treated with dermal filler. At your consultation we assess which applies to you and recommend Botox, filler, or a combination.

Not on its own. Deep nasolabial folds, the lines that run from the nose to the corners of the mouth, come mainly from volume loss and are typically restored with dermal filler rather than Botox. Botox can complement filler by relaxing the muscle movement that deepens the fold when you smile, but it does not fill the fold itself. Results typically last 3 to 4 months, consistent with standard Botox longevity. The softening of the dynamic lines around the mouth and nose gradually wears off as muscle movement returns, and most patients return every 12 weeks to maintain the look.

Perioral lines are the fine vertical lines that form around the lips, sometimes called lipstick lines. Very small doses of Botox can soften the muscle-driven part of this creasing while preserving your natural lip movement. Deeper lines may also be assessed for dermal filler at your consultation.

Most patients feel only a mild pinch at each injection point. The treatment takes about 15 minutes and requires no anaesthesia. Ice can be applied to the area beforehand if requested.

It depends on what is causing your lines. Lines that appear or deepen when you smile are muscle-driven and respond to Botox.
